Upon his return from his latest regular trip to our Shanghai office, Avantgarde board member Christian Stipp showed us a few photos on his phone covering the projects he attended within less than ten days. We realized the photos give a great glimpse of our work in China, and they offer a few interesting peeks behind the scenes of several automotive events in April 2015.
Christian attended the first race of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) at the Shanghai International Circuit, which happened to be the supporting race for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Avantgarde China is the lead agency for the PCCA, and among many other things takes care of the communication guide, website, social media, and hospitality events. Speaking of which, the event commenced with the PCCA season opening party at one of Shanghai’s most fancy hangouts, The Nest.
He then moved on to the next highlight, the Shanghai Auto Show, where our clients Aston Martin, McLaren and Porsche all had a great presence. Aston Martin held an exclusive media preview prior to a big press conference (both organized by Avantgarde). McLaren’s booth was not only heavily frequented during the show, it was also designed, built and run by Avantgarde China and their staff. The Porsche booth has been operated by our team in Shanghai for many years. We were also deeply involved in the events surrounding the managerial change at Porsche China, including taking care of the entire Porsche AG board on visit to the city.
And on the side, Christian checked out a Porsche video shoot, and preparations for the Porsche Brand Pop Up Shanghai, before boarding the plane and heading back to our Munich HQ.
