Swiss outdoor brand Mammut developed a new app/beacon based retail experience.
Whenever a Mammut customer pins or favourites a piece of Mammut equipment the app will register it and submit it to the store upon entering it. The installed digital infrastructure based on beacon technology activates the in-store visual guidance system to lead them directly to their preferred products.
Is this the future of retail experiences? At least it is an interesting attempt at merging the physical and digital worlds.
