Time for Experiential Rock Stars

Each year, we are eager to get our hands on the latest JWT Future 100 Trends and Changes to Watch. It’s always a quirky report of inspirational trends in all aspects of consumer lives. Brand experiences have taken the prime position in the report.

J. Walter Thompson Intelligence, JWT’s think tank, have released the latest edition oft the JWT Future 100. And lo and behold, here’s their #1 trend for the coming year:

The new Experiential Rock Stars

At a time when consumers are spending more time and money on experiences than on material goods, brands are turning up the tempo by hiring experiential technologists to engage with their audience.
“Time is finally catching up to experience technologists,” says Justin Bolognino, founder and CEO of experience production company META.is. “There is a demand for technology-driven experiences because finally brands understand that they are the only thing that leaves an authentic impression on the audience.”

In our daily work we see brands embracing digital experiences that create emotional bonds with their consumers. Right now, investing in experiences is the best way to stand out from the crowd and create a memorable brand interaction!
